🎉K-POP NIGHT 2015🎉

Hello Everyone! On October 30th, 2015 UofT Korea Week’s hightlight event, K-POP NIGHT was held at George Ignaetieff Theatre. This event began with serving variety of Korean food at Buttery. Followed by the Opening Ceremony, a welcoming speech was delivered by Professor Joseph Wong, Professor Jennifer Jihye Chun, and Consulate General Jeong-Sik Kang. Professor Chan E. Park performed P’ansori for the night. A total of 18 teams performed at K-POP night, showing their talents in singing, dancing, and rapping. Salja Dance Team came in at first place, taking home the grand prize of $700. The second place went to EVO, and the third to Nicole Lee, who received $500 and $300 as prizes, respectively. We would like to thank all of the participants, and everyone who came out to support them. Thank you.

 

안녕하세요 여러분! 지난 10월 30일 금요일, 2015 UofT Korea Week 의 하이라이트인 K-POP NIGHT 이 George Ignaetieff Theatre 에서 성황리에 마무리 되었습니다. 본 행사는 4시부터 한국 음식 식사를 시작으로 Professor Joseph Wong, Professor Jennifer Jihye Chun, 그리고 Consul General Jeong-Sik Kang 님의 축사가 이어졌습니다. 또한, Professor Chan E. Park 께서 1시간 가량 멋진 판소리 공연을 펼치셨습니다. UTKSA의 총괄 하에 진행된 본 K-POP 경연에는 총 18팀이 출전했습니다. 각 팀은 노래, 댄스, 랩 등 다양한 무대를 구성하며 관객들에게 즐거운 시간을 선사하였습니다. 이날 1등은 화려한 댄스를 보여준 Salja Dance Team 에게 돌아갔고, 2등은 또 다른 댄스 참가자 EVO, 3등은 기타 연주와 노래를 들려주신 Nicole Lee 에게 돌아갔습니다. 1등부터 3등은 각각 $700, $500, $300 의 상품을 받아가셨습니다. 경연 참가자들을 비롯해 이분들을 응원하러 와주신 관객 여러분께도 멋진 밤을 만들어주신 것에 진심으로 감사 드립니다.
